Acceptance

By using Veya, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The Service

Veya (a product of Vavyan Ltd, "we", "us") provides AI-powered voice recording, transcription, and meeting intelligence tools. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice where practicable.

Your Account

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Providing accurate and current information

Acceptable Use

You may not use Veya to:

  • Record conversations without the knowledge or consent of all participants where required by law
  • Process audio containing illegal, harmful, or abusive content
  • Reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the platform or its APIs
  • Resell or sublicense the service without our written authorisation
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits or subscription restrictions
You are solely responsible for obtaining all required consents before recording any conversation. Laws on recording consent vary by country, state, and context.

Subscriptions and Billing

  • Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled
  • We will notify you of any pricing changes with at least 30 days' notice
  • Pre-paid fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law (including UK consumer rights legislation)
  • You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current paid period
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts for non-payment or breach of these Terms

Minutes and Usage

  • Monthly plan minutes reset on your billing renewal date
  • Unused monthly plan minutes do not roll over to the next month
  • Purchased minute bundles ("top-ups") are added to your account balance and never expire — they remain available until used, regardless of subscription status
  • If your monthly allowance is exhausted, top-up minutes are used automatically
  • If all minutes are exhausted, transcription pauses until the next billing date or a top-up is purchased

Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of all audio recordings and transcripts you create. You grant Vavyan Ltd a limited, non-exclusive licence to process your content solely to provide the service. We claim no rights over your content.

Veya's software, design, and underlying technology are owned by Vavyan Ltd. You may not copy or reproduce any part of the platform.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of fees paid to us in the 6 months prior to the claim or £50. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Vavyan Ltd harmless against any claims, damages, or costs (including legal fees) arising from your use of Veya, including recording without consent.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email at least 14 days in advance.
